Found on a vast Mallorcan finca, among almond, carob and hundred-year-old olive trees, the Filicum\u00eds country estate has all the charm of the Mallorcan countryside for our guests to enjoy. The house is laid out in a square shape around a beautiful patio with a well in the centre. The living areas have all been decorated in keeping with the original architecture: the “tafona” (olive mill) has the original machinery and the old kitchen is now a common area for our guests to relax, the apartments have been designed with comfort and the preservation of traditional elements in mind.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Filicumis has five apartments: each has a different view of the Serra de Tramuntana mountains, along with their own particular charm: two of the apartments have large patios, the quaint Castellot appartment has direct access to the central patio and Alcadena and Estorell have incredible views and spacious rooms.<\/p>\n

There is a BBQ area near the main house along with the pool in one of the most stunning settings in Mallorca, and an orchard growing oranges, cherries and tomatoes. The sounds of the animals and work on the farm blend in with the tranquility and silence that surround the house.<\/p>\n

\u00a0The finca is also home to two magical places: an ancient tayolitic settlement and a funeral cave connected to one another via a circular path over the mountains within the finca.<\/p>\n

Upon request we can also provide a traditional Mallorcan breakfast or evening meal using the olive oil, oranges, tomatoes and eggs produced on the finca.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n ENVIRONMENT<\/h2>

The finca is located in the Serra de la Tramuntana mountains, very close to one of the most popular meeting points for excursions: Tossals Verds. Lloseta is the closest town to Filicum\u00eds three kilometres away. In Lloseta you can stock up on any supplies you need, and you’ll also find prestigious buildings like Teixits Riera, a factory and shop producing traditional Mallorcan textiles, Bestard’s famous mountain boots, and excellent restaurants serving traditional food. In the surrounding areas you can visit well-known cellars like Selva, Caimari, Mancor, Alar\u00f3 or Binissalem offering a variety of foods. You can also tour wine cellars with products from designation of origin. Alar\u00f3 is a beautiful town, dominated by the presence of the Penyal d\u2019Alar\u00f3 with the remains of a medieval castle.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Just 10 minutes from the finca is one of the most important towns on the Island, Inca, which has a great tradition of shoe making and boasts the coveted Camper shop. Caimari, Mancor de la Vall and Selva are all picturesque neighboring villages which can be found along the route to the Lluc Monastery.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>
